7 Security Tips To Prevent Debit/Credit Card in Fraudulent Transactions
Always remember and follow there 7 Security tips to prevent your debit or credit card against fraudulent transactions.
1. Always sign with permanent ink on the signature panel available on the reverse of the card immediately on reverse of the card immediately on the receipt of the card.
2. Loss of cards should be reported to the bank at the earliest to get it blocked. You can also block the card by calling the toll-free number by SMS or by Internet Banking.
3. Memorize the PIN number of your card and destroy the PIN mailer sent/given to you.
4. Change your PIN number and other passwords time to time at least once in every six months.
5. Be alert while using the ATM and if you find signs of external fittings or loose wiring on the ATM/Card reader, please avoid using the ATM and report to the nearest branch of the Bank immediately.
6. Sign the charge slip only ofter verifying the correctness of the amount printed in the slip while using POS machines on shopping.
7. Retain your receipts/charge slips so that you can check them against your monthly card statements.
